Sometimes I find things on that are must try. Today is one of those days. Some of you are in areas right now that are getting swamped with rain and this might not be fun for you. But here in NM, we haven’t seen rain in a long time.
Sprinkles don’t count. This is a super fun experiment with color, shaving cream and water. Dollar Tree has inexpensive shaving cream. Don’t forget to explain the water cycle with your kids. Ask questions like:
What happens after it rains, where does the water go?
How does the rain get back up into the cloud ?
and why doesn’t it stay there?
You can find the complete how to courtesy of onelittleproject.com
Since I taught preschool, I have always enjoyed shaving cream fun. Kids love the texture and feel as well as the smell of shaving cream and that makes it one of my favorite fun things to do. I found one more fun activity at One Little Project that I think you will love.
Puff paint.
This is super easy and you can play with it for hours.
Once they have painted all they can think of, grab a piece of wax paper and let them start to paint with their fingers.
Things to draw using fingers and wax paper:
Sun and Moon
Heart
Cat or Dog
Dinosaur
Log Cabin
Stars
Car
Truck
Boat
Tall Building

The Puppy Place #8 Patches
This book is perfect if you like puppies and happy endings. I liked this book so much that I was able to get another in the series as a reward for a school achievement. I thought this book was like reality, some dogs get abused. This book has a very happy ending.
Knuffle Bunny
We have here yet another Mo Williams book (remember, Don’t let the pigeon drive the bus). This book reminds me of, well me. When I was younger I used to carry around a teddy bear, his name is Teddy. I know, real original, but that’s the name he came with. Sometime he would get into trouble, and then my parents would call him Theodore. And just like Knuffle Bunny, my Teddy went everywhere with me. So I like this book because it reminds me of me.
Jennifer Jones Won’t Leave Me Alone
I thought this book was like a very short version of a Hallmark movie; romantic and such. I really like this book because the male character finally comes to his senses, and realizes what he’s been missing out on.
Albert, The Dog Who Liked To Ride In Taxis (5 Stars)
I thought this book was longer than most of the books we’ve reviewed, but very interesting. Imagine a dog going on an adventure and his owners not even knowing. I suggest you to read this book. Just be prepared, it’s kind of long. Note from mom: This was one of my top 10 favorites even if A. thinks it was long. 😀
