One of the cutest things A. Pumpkin did when she was about 8, was learn a few knock, knock jokes. At first it was so charming and loving and the cutest thing. Then we went through a period where they were all the time and not so adoring. Anything if it is overdone can be that way.
I thought today would be a fun tribute to all the knock, knock jokes out there everywhere. If you’ve got them, use them. If you are traveling, set a record for how many you can do. Enjoy them and remember, tomorrow we are going to tuck them away somewhere and forget about them. 😀
I’ve found several sites including ones with some good clean jokes (just click on the Pintrest Photo) and do as many as you can. Here, there and everywhere.
I really liked the next one. They have some that we’ve all heard, but there are some new ones too.
I also got a kick out of these, and I think you might too.
And lastly, don’t forget you can download these books at Amazon Kindle, or Kindle App for FREE.
Downloads from God – Journal Entry #12 – Roadtrip down Memory Lane
It’s funny to me how the activity is starting to coincide with the Journal Entries. God can be so amazing like that. When I was young, we went to visit my grandparents at least once a month, if not more. It was a four hour drive one way, and gave us lots of opportunities to come up with new games to entertain ourselves.
No cell phones.
No tablets.
No video.
We had to come up with things all by ourselves.
As you play today’s activity, remember one of the family favorites that you played on your roadtrips. Remember who was there and how you felt. Did you feel safe? Did you always travel in the light? Was it different traveling at night? Did you ever make random stops for drinks? Did you ever have to pee in a gas station that needed a key?
During all of our trips, I can remember God being with me. The one I remember the most, was an old filling station (I think Phillips 66). Seemed like it was in the middle of no where. I had to get a key and go around back. I remember opening the door and entering my own version of the Twilight Zone. I remembered the episode where the little girl had fallen through the wall and was in a different dimension. I always imagined that it was somewhere close to the bathroom of this filling station. And as I looked into the fuzzy mirror, I can remember God saying, I’m right here with you. I said, “God this place is weird.” He agreed.
Roadtrips are one of my favorite times with God. We see some crazy stuff. We laugh and have a good time with it. Sometimes it’s just as crazy as that one Twilight Zone experience.
Make sure to remember all the crazy times you and God have had. Do you remember a time like mine? It should definitely go in your journal.
