In today’s issue:
Games you can play ANYWHERE
- Eat the Alphabet
- Feathers, Fur or Skin
- Onomatopoeia Time
I love the weekends. It’s a relaxing time to spend together and just be. Whether we are in the car traveling, or just on our way to the store, we often play word games or the slug bug game. I got hit three times today thanks to the makers of Volkswagen. We have played some of these games for a long time, and they never seem to get old.
I found a great resource that had them all written up and cute, and printable which I knew all of you would enjoy. We have our own way of playing these games, but it was nice to see some of the variations that they do. I’m sure you will come up with your own as well.
These are labeled car games, but we all know that you can play them anywhere right?
So get your game on, and let’s PLAY!
Eat the Alphabet
Take turns listing what you would eat from A to Z. Each player repeating the items listed so far and adding one of their own ex. “I’m so hungry, I could eat an apple.” Next Person: ” I’m so hungry I could eat an apple and a baboon” etc.
Feathers, Fur or Skin
One person names a series of animals, players have to say whether it has feathers, fur or skin.
Sound Effects Please (Onomatopoeia Time)
One person begins telling a story adding a sound effect for certain words. Each time they say a word that has been given a sound effect, everyone else has to say the sound. Ex. I was driving in my “honk!” when I saw a “woof woof!” on the road.
I hope you really enjoy this one.
