RAINBOWS
Rainbows are a favorite of mine because I choose to always remember that God keeps His promises. I have been through many high times and many low times. I remind my family often not to take rainbows for granted. We can get SO used to seeing them everywhere on all kinds of marketing projects that we forget their original purpose: to remind us that God ALWAYS keeps His promises to us.
Keep that in frame, as you do today’s ordinary to extraordinary activities in art and science.
RAINBOW PAPER
This experiment is like no other. Using black paper and clear nail polish, these magnificent rainbows appear. When you dip the paper into the water it, gets coated with a thin layer of nail polish. Light is reflected by the nail polish, creating rainbow patterns. This is basically the same thing that happens when a rainbow is naturally formed in the sky. Give them a try at sciencekiddo.com
You can see a video explaining the technique below.
Rainbow Ant Experiment
If you live somewhere in the US where these kind of ants live, I think this would be a super fun activity. To see their translucent bodies absorb the color fluid would keep me busy for a while. You can find more on the experiment at DesignDazzle.com
